FEM’s new Manitowoc Bite Sized Nugget icemakers are saviours of summer smoothies
Summer smoothies call for versatile nugget ice. FEM’s new Manitowoc Bite Sized Nugget icemakers ensure operators can deliver perfectly chilled smoothies without damaging blenders or customers’ ears.
FEM’s Manitowoc Bite Sized Nugget icemakers are compact and can be sited right where required, under counter in kitchens or behind the bar. The ice it produces is very versatile – it can be used as it is, straight to chill drinks or blended to make smoothies, iced coffees or cocktails.
Due to the soft, chewable texture of nugget ice it is kinder on blender blades, meaning that operators can whip up chilled blended drinks easily, quickly and quietly. The nugget ice produced from FEM’s new machines boasts one of the industry’s best ice to water ratios, 90%, maximising cooling capability while minimising the dilution of the drink.
The Bite Sized Nugget icemakers feature high-load capacity bearings and heavy-duty stainless steel corrosion-resistant construction for enhanced reliability and durability. The door slides up and out of the way allowing operators easy access to the ice storage bin. The machines feature an air-cooled ice refrigeration system as standard.
FEM supplies two models of Manitowoc Bite Sized Nugget icemaker. The smallest (model RNS0244A) measures 500mm (w) x 660mm (d) x 842mm (h) and is capable of producing 78kg of ice in a 24-hour period, with a storage capacity of 18kgs. The larger model (RNS0385A) can produce 136kg ice/24-hours and store 40kgs on a footprint of 738mm (w) x 690mm (d) x 1000mm (h).
