Volkszone launches new insurance for classic VWs, aims to offer ‘VZI visitors’ the best deal online or on the phone
Volkszone is easily the biggest VW forum in the UK and a leading source of information and advice online. Now it aims to be the leading source of online VW insurance, with the launch of Volkszone Insurance Services (VZI), which focuses on classics but also covers current models.
As well as getting quotes online, VZI visitors can buy insurance online, too. Although this is increasingly common for standard cars, it is still unusual online for non-standard vehicles such as classic and modified cars. VZI will cover anything and everything VW – all kinds of modified, custom, classic or stock VW, both left- or right-hand drive, whether it’s a Beetle, bus, buggy, Ghia, Type 3 or Type 4, kit car or Trekker.
At www.volkszoneinsurance.com VW owners simply need to complete the straightforward online quoting process and then either click to buy or select the option to speak to one of VZI’s expert advisors.
"Although buying online is quick and convenient, we’d always recommend talking to an advisor if the customer has the time," says Andy Morton of VZI. "They’ll probably be able to get a lower quote, simply because they can take all the aspects, features and circumstances of the car and driver into account."
VZI is the brainchild of Brian Burrows of Volkszone and is backed by a specialist broker, HIC (Herts Insurance Consultants). "Ultimately we want anyone looking for insurance on the web to at least come to us for a quote," he says. "We have one of the most experienced and VW-savvy teams in the business and they really understand what makes VW enthusiasts tick. HIC’s involvement is the clincher – they are one of the best names in VW insurance."
