This year’s Adrian Flux French Car Show takes place on Sunday June 14th at Rockingham. The Show is a great day out for the family, with exciting entertainments including car and motorbike stunt teams, track events, a live rally stage and loads more. And if mum or dad fancies themselves as a bit of a racing star, they can drive the 150mph touring car race circuit (Europe’s fastest) or book a ‘hot ride’ as a passenger in an ex-works rally car.
Other show highlights include 180mph ‘days of thunder’ Nascar cars on the main circuit, the infamous Over The Top stunt team in the paddock, featuring Eddie Kidd, and the spills and thrills of a live rally stage on the dedicated track next door to the stadium.
For petrol heads there are all sorts of temptations, with clubs, show cars and great car accessories and gadgets to see and buy, plus the RS Tuning Trade Village, with expert advice from specialist traders in the club area. Of course, being dedicated to fast French cars means the Show will deliver the UK’s best display of rocking Renaults, sexy Citroens and pugnacious Peugeots.
And if the fun gets too much, visitors can head for the Flux Chill-Out Zone, aka Rockingham’s Welcome Centre, where they can relax with drinks and refreshments on giant beanbags, play pool and table football or watch the teams competing in the Formula 1 pit stop challenge. They can also pick up the Show Grab Bag, filled with some great freebies, from the Flux Babes (the hottest girls in insurance) who are hosting the Chill-Out Zone.

There are several changes for the 2009 show. Responding to visitor’s feedback, the organisers have shifted the trade village and show cars from the centre of the circuit to the area at the front of the stadium. This means there’s no need for visitors to walk through the Rockingham tunnel to get to the village.
Tickets for the Adrian Flux French Car Show cost £12.95 in advance, or £15 on the gate, and under-14s go free. You can also camp – camping costs £15 per car of up to four people. Book in advance through www.frenchcarshow.co.uk and get priority car parking and a free window sticker.
