FEM adds 45kg undercounter cuber to its Sotto range: less noise, less space, more ice
FEM has added the Manitowoc UG40 to its Sotto range of self-contained, undercounter icemakers. Making up to 45kg of ice per day, and with an integral ice bin storage capacity of 25kg, the new machine’s compact footprint and quiet operation make it ideal for pubs, bars and restaurants with limited space who need a reliable supply of gourmet quality cubes.
Like all Manitowoc Sotto icemakers, the UG40 is available from stock for next day delivery. It is supplied through FEM’s national network of distributors.
The UG40 produces large, 20g hexagonal ice cubes that are crystal clear, slow melting and attractive – so they are perfect for chilling drinks. The UG40 measures 55cm deep by 55cm wide and 80cm high. Because it is front venting, the machine needs no top or side clearance. This means it can be slid into the tightest spaces, bringing a supply of quality ice right where it’s needed, behind the bar.
A key feature of the UG40 is its ability to work in high ambient temperatures, up to 43°C, so operators never need to worry that their ice supply will run out when the heat is on.
Standard features include stainless steel exterior and a high-yield air-cooled ice refrigeration system that produces 43% more ice than previous models. The unit’s attractive fascia makes it ideal for front of house situations.
The UG40 is designed to be easy to work with. It has simple controls, Manitowoc’s ‘tool free food zone’ means day to day cleaning and maintenance is straightforward, and the ‘plug and play’ undercounter design makes installation trouble-free.
List price of the UG40 is £1,270. It is backed by a two years parts and one year labour guarantee.
