CST’s new TableScout keeps staff up to speed
Call Systems Technology (CST) has launched TableScout, a staff paging system that turns tables faster, increases staff efficiency and helps serve more customers. TableScout is ideal for large restaurants and especially those on different levels, where it’s difficult to monitor effectively all parts of the dining area.
TableScout pagers can be used standalone or integrated with table management software. Staff using the TableScout pagers can receive updates about which tables are free or which customers require serving. They can also use the pager to transmit information on the tables that need clearing.
The compact, lightweight TableScout pagers only weigh 113gm and are supplied with a belt clip so they can be worn by staff throughout a shift. They are built to withstand harsh restaurant environments with a water-resistant keypad overlay and backlit LED screen for viewing in low ambient lighting. With rounded corners and durable construction, the pagers tolerate careless handling.
Staff can use TableScout pagers to update the table management software system and to check on table status without having to walk back to the central display. This makes communication between staff and floor managers quicker. It saves on labour costs, improves customer service and increases staff efficiency.
TableScout consists of the pagers, a serial transceiver and a six-position charger. The pagers recharge in four hours by plugging into an electrical socket. Smart charging protects the battery, extending its life to between three and five years.
