Stand 356, Hospitality Show, January 21 – 23, 2013, NEC Birmingham
At the Hospitality Show 2013 CESA is celebrating its 75th year of informing, involving and influencing policy relative to the catering industry. Although CESA (Catering Equipment Suppliers Association) itself was formed in 1996, it evolved from the earlier CEMA (Catering Equipment Manufacturers Association), set up in 1938.
The CESA Innovation Zone will be back again for the 2013 Hospitality Show. Building on its previous success, the Innovation Zone will be bigger than ever. It’s designed to help visitors find out about the latest and most original ideas on the market and is the place to visit to keep abreast of the latest products.
“There’s so much to see at a show that it’s easy to miss something. Having the innovative products clustered together in one area really makes it easier for visitors to see what’s on offer with the minimum of effort,” says Keith Warren, director of CESA.
The latest batch of CFSP (Certified Foodservice Professional) graduates will be awarded their certificates on the 22nd January 2013. This brings the total number of CFSP graduates to 198. CFSP is the industry specific professional qualification for the UK Food Service industry and is accredited by the University of West London.
“We introduced CFSP in 2009 with the objective of improving the levels of professionalism in the food service sector by creating a universally recognised and respected industry ‘standard’ for knowledge and experience. The programme has really taken off and is set to expand into Sweden, the Middle East, Russia and India,” says Keith Warren.
The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) is the authoritative voice of the catering equipment industry, representing over 160 companies who supply, service and maintain all types of commercial catering equipment – from utensils to full kitchen schemes.
