Hockney, Freud or Hirst: who’s the daddy?

So some of us did all three exhibitions yesterday (we finished off with a bit of proper culture by seeing Sweeney Todd). Which artist is best? As every rational person knows, the only totally reliable way to establish the truth would be to show which is most popular. We decided the most scientific approach would be to compare the size of the artists’ queues.

Hockney, Freud or Hirst: who's got the biggest?

The graph illustrates that Hockney wins hands down (he’s red, Freud is brown and Hirst is lime green), with the biggest queue by far. Stats never lie, of course, although to be fair the place where the Hirst queue SHOULD have been just had a sign saying ‘sold out.’ Judging from the rest of his show, we assumed this was a piece of artwork, but I guess it could have been a comment on his artistic ethos. Mind, if it was a statement of fact (about the show, not the ethos) then it may have skewed our stats.
