FEM launches space-saving Camrack Honeycomb Compartment glass washing and storage racks
Handling breakable items such as glasses for washing, transporting and subsequent storage is a delicate part of kitchen operations. Not only does glassware require careful handling but it also takes up a significant amount of storage space and needs to be kept spotlessly clean.
To overcome both of these problems Foodservice Equipment Marketing has launched the new Camrack Honeycomb Glass Racks. These integral washing, transport and storage racks provide excellent protection, while their honeycomb design holds 20% more glasses than comparable, square compartment racks.
The racks are extremely durable, made from long-lasting polypropylene and are built to withstand chemicals and high temperatures up to 93°C. The ‘open-inside’ honeycomb compartments allow thorough circulation of water and cleaning solution at the washing stage and free passage of air when drying. With a 1mm overlap and smooth exteriors, they have easy to grip rounded handles on all four sides and rounded corners to prevent injuries.
The 500mm x 500mm racks are offered in 30-compartment or 20-compartment models, which house glasses with diameters up to 79mm or 98mm respectively. Both rack designs are available in six separate height options, from between 90mm and 300mm, to take into account the different varieties of glasses.
Once stacked, the top rack can be covered with a Camrack Cover that keeps out dirt and dust. FEM also supplies different coloured bases, these allow for colour-coding types of glasses stored, making for easy identification, as well as keeping the glasses clear of the floor.
