The back bar is the most demanding place to put catering equipment. It must work perfectly and reliably, it needs to be compact, it should be quiet, and it shouldn’t contribute unwanted heat or moisture to the bar area. To top it all, the typical pub and bar operator demands affordability too.
The relaunch of the Classeq brand of undercounter glass washers puts them in the front ranks of competitively priced back bar equipment, particularly for pubs and independent bars.
In addition, Classeq offer a range of ice makers designed specifically to be back-bar friendly – compact, productive and suitable for use in confined spaces alongside other equipment.
There are two ranges of Classeq back bar glasswashers and dishwashers, the Eco and Duo. Both types are feature-rich, and contain the essential features to do the job without expensive optional extras – for example, chemical dosing pumps are already built into both ranges.
The Eco glasswashers are fully automatic, with full cleaning power, low capital cost and economical operating costs. Double-skinned doors reduce the noise and make them cooler to the touch. There are three types of Eco back-bar glass washer, with wash capacities varying from 12 to 25 pint glasses per cycle.
The Duo glasswashers offer even more features, such as a fully insulated cabinet, WRAS approved type-A air gap, integral rinse booster pump and a drain pump fitted as standard. A self-cleaning program saves time and gives staff less to worry about at the end of each shift.
Duo models are especially easy to fit, since their integral drain pump allows them to be sited anywhere behind the bar.
Both Eco and Duo feature simple, clear language-free controls for easy staff training, and removable door and rack guides and moulded interiors for easy cleaning and good hygiene. They also have very low water consumption wash tanks coupled with smart wash filter systems to minimise water, detergent and energy costs while still delivering perfectly clean glasses.
The Classeq Duo models are available in dishwasher versions, suitable for back bar use in food pubs, cafes and smaller restaurants.
The Classeq ice maker models are ideal for bar use since they are front-venting – and virtually all service access is from the front as well. They are competitively priced and designed to look equally good underneath the bar or behind it.
They produce extremely long-lasting, octagonal or conventional cube-shaped ice – perfect for drinks and ice buckets. With a foam-insulated cabinet they can operate in even the warmest of clubs and bars at temperatures of up to 43 degrees C. A simple button-operated automatic cleaning programme is also included as standard.
