HTG launches simpler coffee machine solution
Which is the right coffee machine for a business? In a market that’s full of competing brands and technologies, selecting the machine that will suit can be mind-blowingly confusing. Now HTG, the company behind Taylor UK and Hubbard Systems, has launched Barista Tech, a coffee machine supplier with a difference, that aims to make it simple for operators to choose the best machine for their business.
Barista Tech has a simple premise: its coffee machine experts will visit a customer, discuss their coffee needs, survey their site and then make recommendations for which machine will be the best fit, typically offering a choice of three different models from different manufacturers.
The company is working with over a dozen different brands, including market leaders such as Synesso, La Marzocco and Schaerer. Consequently, the Barista Tech expert can refine their recommendations from a huge choice of makes and models, including traditional espresso, bean to cup, and bulk brew. They’ll look at what the customer needs, the skill levels on site, how they make their coffee and, of course, the budget – whether that’s £4,000 or £40,000! Barista Tech also takes into account the customer’s requirements in areas such as sustainability, running costs and staff shortages.
Barista Tech will offer a complete coffee solution, from single coffee machine sales to full packages including the machine, service and maintenance and, if the customer wants, top quality coffee beans and even the cups to serve drinks in. The company also offers a range of accessories, such as grinders and water treatment and filtration systems.
Pete Gray is managing director of Barista Tech. He says, “HTG has been involved in the coffee machine sector for many years, through a limited number of brands, so we know the market well and already have considerable expertise in-house. With Barista Tech we wanted to give customers a simple solution, based on a comprehensive choice of machines and technologies. We’ll manage the whole process for the customer, from initial enquiry, to proposals, to install, to training, to ancillaries, to ongoing support and service. We do the leg work so they don’t have to.”
