Senior government expert Tom Lock to update industry on ETL plans
FEA Industry Conference, 9th & 10th November, 2022, Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth
FEA has announced an exciting addition to this year’s Industry Conference platform, with the much anticipated developments of the Energy Technology List (ETL) to be presented by Tom Lock, an expert advisor to the government for the project.
FEA has lobbied hard over the years for the extension of the ETL, arguing that the benefits for equipment buyers could have a big impact on meeting sustainability targets, but that to have that impact there need to be many more equipment categories on the list. Recently the government has suggested it will be extending the scheme.
Lock, an International expert is a consulting director at ICF, and has worked with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) since 2015. As well as programme managing within the ETL, where he led the review, performance and standard setting process for more than 60 technologies, he has also been involved in areas such as the BEIS energy using products programme and the revised Ecodesign and Energy Labelling regulations.
“We are absolutely delighted that Tom Lock has agreed to unveil the latest plans for the ETL at the Industry Conference,” says Keith Warren, chief executive of FEA. “As one of the UK’s leading experts his thoughts, comments and insights are hugely influential. I am certain that delegates will be following his presentation with rapt attention, and dissecting it with a fine tooth comb afterwards!”
A packed Conference programme sees a strong speaker platform covering areas as varied as the economy, connectivity and diversity. Broadcaster and TV business presenter Nina Warhurst is conference chair and will be delivering the keynote address.
