Anyone for ice?  Hubbard confirms availability of Scotsman ice machines

Some models are even available for next day delivery – just like the good old days!

At a time when many equipment suppliers are struggling with product delays and shortages, Hubbard Systems has some good news: there is currently good stock of Scotsman ice machines in the UK.  Some models are even available for next day delivery – just like the good old days!  Others are available to order and are typically delivered in eight weeks or less.

The supply is thanks to the fact that Scotsman continued to manufacture throughout the pandemic, while Hubbard Systems continued to order stock to ensure that they would be able to satisfy UK demand once things returned to normal.

“Both Scotsman and Hubbard took something of a calculated gamble and it’s paid off,” says Pete Gray, managing director of Hubbard Systems, which distributes the full Scotsman range in the UK.  “As things stand, we are well positioned to fulfil customer needs, and we are picking up a lot of new business.”

However, Gray adds that things may get more difficult if the shortage of components continues.  “Scotsman has been very good at finding new sources of supply, but the bottom line is this is a global issue.  For now we continue to do everything in our power to maintain stocks and fulfil orders as speedily as possible.”

Almost all Scotsman machines are now fitted with the XSafe sanitising system, which kills bacteria and viruses including Covid-19.  XSafe helps reduce contamination by more than 99%, as well as prolonging the working life of the equipment by up to 30% while reducing cleaning costs by at least 50%.  As well as killing bacteria and viruses, it significantly reduces the formation of mould, yeast, mildew, slime and odours.
