The Rational stand will be bigger, better and more comprehensive than ever at the HRC show in March. 2020 sees Rational’s biggest ever stand and the company will be showcasing its market leading VarioCookingCenter and SelfCookingCenter appliance.
The company will also be providing opportunities to see how its connected cooking works. Rational’s ConnectedCooking, which is particularly beneficial to operations with multiple units, allows users to link their VarioCookingCenters or SelfCookingCenters to a network, and monitor operation over the internet. The ConnectedCooking system and the online app supports caterers and allows access to a collection of how-to videos, tricks and tips from professional chefs and a vast library of recipes. Caterers can also check on overnight cooking processes from home, managers can check on operational efficiency of multiple units, maintenance engineers can check a unit’s status. Another focus on stand will be the comprehensive range of Rational accessories, showing how they can bring new cooking methods to the menu.
The Rational stand is located at the main entrance of the Professional Kitchen Show (PKS).
There will be live cooking demonstrations throughout the three-day show using a wide selection of models from both the Rational VarioCookingCenter and SelfCookingCenter range of appliances. The Rational chefs will cook throughout the day, with breakfast, lunch, and main dinner samples plus an exciting variety of sweet and savoury offerings.
Accessories can deliver significant enhancements for both appliances, so Rational will have an array on show. These will include the UltraVent Plus hood option, ideal for sites which face ventilation or extraction challenges.
Rational will be showing its combi oven Finishing System, including the Thermocover which is employed predominantly in banqueting and events. Used in conjunction with Rational’s mobile food trolleys, the Thermocover allows plated meals that have been pre-prepared and finished in the SelfCookingCenter to stay at the optimum temperature for up to 20 minutes after finishing.
Even cleaning will get its own demo, and visitors will have the opportunity to see just how easy it is to clean both the VarioCookingCenter and SelfCookingCenter appliances.
Rational appliances are always popular with chefs, and this year there will be ten SelfCookingCenters as part of the Craft Guild of Chef Competition stage, an integral part of the Salon Culinaire. International Salon Culinaire is the UK’s largest and most prestigious chef competition programme. Rational are particularly proud that Kevin Clark, Rational regional sales manager, will be part of the panel of judges for the live cooking competitions.
Rational is also sponsoring the 2020 Sodexo Chef of the Year event, including all the heats and the final, which is to be held at the HRC show this year.
The Rational SelfCookingCenter will also have a starring role on the Staff Canteen Live Stage. Guest chefs will be invited to use the combi oven during their individual cooking demonstration.
