Moffat gives boilers a make-over with launch of Focus auto-fill models.

Focus auto-fill water boilers are good looking and fast

Water Boiler 1 jpg Water boilers for tea and coffee service tend to be dull old things, even though they’re often positioned right in front of the customer. Now British manufacturer Moffat is planning to liven things up with its new Focus automatic-fill water boilers which feature panels made using the company’s exclusive ‘Spritzer’ finish.

Focus boilers are available in three models: the smallest model (number X6AB3) has a 16 litre capacity and an output of up to 35 litres per hour. The two larger models (X6AB6 and X6AB6T) offer a choice of one or two taps and each has a 30 litre tank with an output of 50 litres. The 16 litre version works on a 3kW supply, its boiling time (from cold) is just 20 minutes and the non-drip tap’s flow rate is 7.5 litres per minute, with up to ten litres available for ‘rapid draw off’.   The larger models require 6kW (multiphase), have boiling times of 30 minutes and offer rapid draw off of up to 20 litres. All models offer fast heat up and recovery times.

The Focus units’ looks match their top-notch performance. The Spritzer panels give extra insulation and feature an attractively mottled metallic surface that is tough, durable and light. The contrast with the brightly polished stainless steel surround gives the Focus boilers their upmarket, designer style.

As well as looking good, the Focus boiler is designed throughout to be easy to live with: the all stainless-steel interior is both durable and easy to maintain, the electronics guard the unit from problems such as high or low water levels and a safety thermostat gives boil-dry protection. Standard features include a steam condenser, a descale system with drain tap, a large capacity drip-tray and a durable water-feed hose for mains connection. Accessories include wall brackets, filters and scale-reduction units.
