Latest high speed oven is a great compact Fit

Hubbard launches Pratica’s Fit SM

The latest high speed oven from Hubbard Systems is the Fit SM.  Manufactured by Pratica, it’s designed for refrigerated and fresh food items such as sandwiches, pizzas and pastries.  The combination of microwave and impinged air heating delivers super-fast times and makes the oven ideal for heating, browning and toasting foods.

The Fit SM (Single Magnetron) is a compact model that’s easy to install – especially since it runs off a standard single phase supply.  It’s less than 40cm wide, and needs no clearance to the sides or back, so it will fit into the tightest of spaces.  It has a top temperature of 280°C, yet the effective insulation means the surface is cool to touch and the oven doesn’t heat up the surrounding area.  It’s ventless, so requires no extra extraction, and the internal catalytic converter is easy to take out and clean, with no need for a service call.

Despite its small size, the Fit SM can handle 30cm pizzas and cooks very quickly – pastries in 25 seconds, hot dogs in 50 seconds and paninis in 70 seconds.  A speed grill plate, aluminium paddle, solid basket and a set of cleaning chemicals are all included with the oven.

The Fit SM is simple to operate, via the user-friendly colour touchscreen display, which stores unlimited recipes with their own steps, settings and icons or photos.  The intuitive controls include drag and drop features.

The oven also features the Pratica IOK platform, which uses Wi-Fi to monitor single ovens or multiple units across an estate.  Operators can manage the Fit SM remotely, upload recipes and menus, obtain software updates and access customer support and the exclusive Cookbook.  IOK helps ensure the consistency and quality of cooking results.

The Fit SM is 659mm high, 386mm wide and 693mm deep.  The 13 litre cooking chamber measures 133mm high by 315mm wide and 308mm deep.   The oven comes with a one year parts and labour warranty.
