Grab and go gets cool: Williams shows latest Multideck at LACA Main Event ‘24

Stand H2-26, LACA Main Event, 3-4 July 2024, Hilton Metropole Birmingham

Williams will show its latest and most energy efficient grab and go Multideck at the LACA Main Event.

Grab and go is increasingly important for school meals service.  Its ‘high street cool’ appeals to many children, and is a way of encouraging them to have a proper meal. It also increases staff productivity in the kitchen, since the units are self-service.  One problem with traditional grab and go merchandisers is that their open front means they are less energy efficient.  Williams has overcome this issue by adding doors to its new Multidecks – they reduce power consumption by as much as 60% compared to the open fronted versions, saving on energy bills.

Williams believes that doors are the future for grab and go merchandisers, not only because of their energy efficiency, but also because they protect the food and reduce the risk of contamination.

The clear glass doors, combined with the attractive interior, brightly lit by LED lights, mean that the Williams Multidecks deliver an eye-catching display that will encourage meal take up.   Meanwhile their highly effective refrigeration system ensures consistent temperature control and food safety at all times.  Their sustainability is enhanced by the use of natural, high performance refrigerant.  It is truly green, with low GWP (Global Warming Potential) and zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential).

The Multideck on show at the Main Event is model R100 with hinged doors, a slimline unit that can fit in very tight spaces.  The full Williams range includes high-volume units and Multidecks can be suited together to form larger displays if required.

Williams Refrigeration offers a comprehensive range of commercial refrigeration including gastronorm cabinets and counters, specialist bakery equipment, coldrooms, multidecks and blast chillers.
