Business is booming for Bittern Books

Bittern Books sees another signing session for its author David Blake

Bittern Books sees another of its authors signing books for appreciative fans. This time it’s David Blake who will be appearing at Roys of Wroxham on 30th March as part of the launch activity for his new book Swanton Morley. This is the eleventh title in the DI Tanner (now DCI Tanner) series of books all set in the Norfolk area. To date David has written twenty-four books along with a collection of short stories. He’s currently working on his twenty-fifth, Stokesby Grave, which is the next in his series of fast-paced crime thrillers.

Bittern Books brought the first in the DI Tanner series, Broadland, to public attention in 2019 and it was very well received, rapidly becoming a hit. Since then, David has written ten more in the series which have been rapidly devoured by eager readers. They’ve proved to be number one bestsellers in both the UK and Australia.

Promoting local authors and books that cover primarily the Norfolk and Suffolk area, Bittern Books is not only a wholesale business, distributing to retail outlets throughout East Anglia, but also sells titles direct to readers through its website.

“Author signing events are an exciting part of our business,” says Steve Haines, managing director of Bittern Books. “It’s great to see authors meeting their readers and the signings allow us to show how much we care about getting our authors to their public. Without authors there wouldn’t be books!”
