Meanwhile Scotsman sales grow to 30% of UK ice machine market
HTG, which owns Taylor UK and Hubbard Systems, is restructuring its sales for the Eloma and Pratica brands. Both will now be distributed through Hubbard Systems. Business Development Manager Rob Baughan will move from Taylor UK to Hubbard Systems to head up sales for the two brands. He’ll also work on the Friulinox brand of refrigeration equipment.
The move will also see Hubbard Systems enlarging the portfolio of Eloma products HTG distributes, to include models such as the Genius combi steamer.
“The restructure will help us expand sales of these two brands through our dealer network,” says Pete Gray, Managing Director of Hubbard Systems. “Both Eloma and Pratica offer competitive pricing and advanced features, and both are well respected with good profiles. We feel that, by working more closely with our dealer partners, we can expand their sales significantly.”
Meanwhile Hubbard Systems’ Business Development Managers Gary Doyle and Paul Cowlard will focus on sales of the Scotsman range, which have been growing significantly in recent years. At the 2023 Host Milan show, Scotsman’s vice president of sales and marketing, Alessandro De Blasio, announced that Hubbard Systems was the brand’s biggest dealer in the world, with an estimated 30% share of the UK market.
“The success of Scotsman in the UK underlines the strength of our partnership with our dealer network,” says Gray. “We see Eloma and Pratica as having similar potential to the Scotsman brand.”
Hubbard Systems is the UK distributor for the market-leading Scotsman range of icemakers and the Friulinox range of refrigeration products.
