FEM introduces Vollrath’s super speedy, energy-saving conveyor toaster
Conveyor toasters are the mainstay of breakfast service. They are essential to keep up with demand during busy periods. Vollrath’s new four-slice energy-saving conveyor toaster, which is capable of producing a staggering 1100 slices per hour, is now available through FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing).
The new toaster uses energy-efficient, fast-reacting, quartz heaters and forced convection methods to produce uniform results while minimising energy use. Further savings are made through a standby mode that saves up to 75 per cent of energy during slow periods when the unit is not in use, allowing it to quickly return to full power when demand picks up again. Variable speed control allows users to achieve the desired degree of toasting from light to dark colour.
The 36.8cm three-slice wide conveyor is larger than the industry standard to get better toasting results. Sturdily built, with a stainless steel and aluminised steel construction, the toaster has high-temperature bearings, which do not require lubrication, to ensure smooth operation over its lifetime. High-quality, insulated wires help prevent dry rotting and cracking during operation.
Called the CT4-230Dual, the toaster has a top chamber product entry opening that is
adjustable from 3.8 – 7.6cm, and the bottom chamber entry opening is adjustable up to 3.8cm.
Measuring 514 (w) x 730 (d) x 597 (h) mm and having a power requirement of 4.9kw, the toaster is supplied with a 2 years parts and 1-year labour warranty.
