FEM introduces two new Sirman external vacuum packers
FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) has launched two new Sirman external vacuum packers aimed at the commercial catering sector. Vacuum packing is a popular way to preserve food without any degradation of flavour or texture. It locks in all the moisture, juices and flavour.
The new Sirman vacuum packers are intended for container vacuum operations. They are available in two sizes the Vacuex 4 measuring 488 x 232 x 343mm and the larger Vacuex 8 measuring 488 x 232 x 343mm. Both are designed to be compact and user-friendly with bush suction pumps as standard. The Vacuex 4 has a pumping capacity of 4mc/h and with the Vacuex 8 it is 8mc/h.
It is easy to set the vacuum time via the touch keypad and illuminated display. There is an oil preheat and a cleaning cycle, with alerts for when it is time to change the oil and/or filter. The hose is also fitted with a filter to avoid suction of solid parts during the vacuum operation. A top sturdy handle makes both machines easy to move around the kitchen.
Supplied with the hose and filter, a new range of Sirman stainless steel GN containers and lids for use with the Vacuex are sold separately with various sizes and depths available.
