Winterhalter at the TUCO Conference 2021

New workhorse warewasher has university credentials

Winterhalter will focus on its new passthrough dishwasher, the PT Workhorse, at the TUCO 2021 virtual conference on 28th July.  The Workhorse introduces a series of upgrades and innovations that not only reduce energy and water consumption, but also enhance usability and reliability.

Headline features include the EnergyLight heat exchange system, which cuts energy consumption by up to 10%, and the hygiene concept, including quadruple wash water filtration and new S-shaped wash arms, which delivers class-leading wash results.

One of many user-friendly design components is Winterhalter’s new Auto Hood: staff simply touch the button and down it goes.  At the end of the wash cycle, it rises automatically.

Reliability is a key factor for university caterers when specifying a warewasher.  Winterhalter’s NPD team has fine-tuned and reengineered the PT’s components and systems to make the Workhorse an ultra-reliable machine.  “This dishwasher will cope with everything that’s thrown at it,” says Stephen Kinkead, Winterhalter UK’s managing director.

The PT Workhorse comes in three machine sizes, M, L and XL.  The largest machine, the PT-XL, is likely to be the most popular in university kitchens.  It has an entry height of 560mm, so it can wash bulkier items such as GN2/1 trays and utensils.
