Utopia’s Orchid collection creates the perfect backdrop for modern menus
White tableware doesn’t have to be bland or boring, it can be creative and subtly dramatic. The new Orchid collection from Utopia has been designed to transcend the ordinary and take white to another level, giving it the lead when it comes to the tabletop.
With a pastel white colouring and damask inspired raised pattern around the outside, the Orchid plates and bowls add a distinctive flair to table settings. For superior longevity, the Orchid tableware is made from vitrified porcelain. It’s super light too, modern production methods allow the body to be thin but still robust enough for busy service. This means the Orchid collection is both practical and durable and Utopia is able to offer a five year edge chip guarantee on all Orchid products.
There are four versions available: a 26cm (10.25in) and a 19cm (7.5in) lipped plate and a 13cm (5in) and 10cm (4in) bowl. The lip on the plates is 24mm and 19mm high respectively, the outside of which is decorated with the raised damask pattern. The bowls have straight sides and are 73cm and 59cm high respectively. The damask pattern creates a border around the bottom of the outer sides.
“White tableware gives the chef’s creativity a chance to really stand out,” says Josh Rammell, Marketing Manager at Utopia. “However, the new Orchid collection adds another dimension with its damask patterning, a white tableware with character.”
