Former Nisbets man has a real passion for his region
Falcon has appointed Simon Garrett as area sales manager for the South West of England. Simon is a well-known and highly experienced foodservice equipment sales professional. He has spent the last twelve years working with Nisbets in a variety of roles, including managing the company’s export division. For the last three years he was key accounts manager for Somerset, Bath and Dorset – so he knows his area very well.
“I’m passionate about the South West,” he says. “I want to help the region’s foodservice businesses to thrive by working with dealers to offer solutions and by getting closely involved in projects, from inception to hand over.”
Simon will be developing relationships with existing dealers and public sector accounts, as well as seeking out new opportunities. “I’m keen to strengthen connections with our business partners, so it’s as easy as possible for them to make Falcon their primary recommendation.”
He’s been very impressed by Falcon. “I’ve joined the market leading catering equipment manufacturer, and the team here is brilliant. My biggest challenge will be following in my predecessor’s footsteps! I’ll be looking to build on this fantastic work, and to develop the business in my own way.
“The opportunity here is amazing,” says Simon. “Although there are many prime cooking equipment choices for our customers, I believe our brand reputation, our manufacturing excellence and our product range put us in pole position to take market share from our competitors.
“The fact that we are celebrating our bicentennial this year gives us even more to shout about – and the innovative products we are developing underline that, even after 200 years, we are still at the forefront of commercial cooking technologies.”
Outside of work Simon is a keen sportsman (“Anything involving a bat and / or ball”), supporting Spurs FC and Somerset County Cricket Club. He’s married to Sara and is 45 years old.
In another change to the sales team, Alan Cumming has re-joined the company as area sales manager for Scotland, taking over from Steven Grahamslaw, who’s moved into a product management role.
