Winterhalter’s Pay-Per-Wash makes dreams affordable…
Your school needs a new dishwasher, but budgets are tight. How about getting a Winterhalter, with no upfront cost? The company will throw in chemicals and servicing, too. All you’ll need to worry about, in terms of getting the dishes clean, is loading and unloading.
It sounds too good to be true, but it’s not. With Winterhalter Pay-Per-Wash you do pay, of course, but you only pay for the washes you do. And with Winterhalter, you’re sure of getting market-leading results, cleanliness and performance from each and every one of those washes.
You’re not tied in to a long term contract, either – if it’s not working for you, Winterhalter will come and take the machine away. Or if your needs change, for example you need a bigger dishwasher, then you can change it, with no penalty. It’s a genuinely no-risk, no investment option.
Pay-Per-Wash works by exploiting Winterhalter’s Connected Wash technology, which links machines to the internet. The operator selects a desired number of wash cycles and prepays for them, using a credit card and an online portal. The portal generates a wash code and the operator enters the code directly into the machine. Alternatively, you can phone Winterhalter to pay for the credits and get your code. Either way, once it’s loaded onto the machine, you can start washing straight away.
So how much will you have to pay? The cost of washes with a Winterhalter PT passthrough or hood type warewasher, the most common in use in school kitchens, will depend on the size and version of the machine, and its anticipated usage. The PT comes in small, medium, large and extra-large versions. A PT-L (large) can accommodate both standard racks, 500mm x 500mm, and large racks, 500mm x 600mm. Its clever energy management system means it’s super-fast, handling up to 72 racks per hour, and it features energy-saving technology as standard. The typical cost for a PT-L in a school doing 30 washes a day would be 39p per wash cycle – and remember, that takes care of everything: the machine, racks, servicing and chemicals.
“A key factor for many schools is that their dishwasher stands idle for much of the day,” says Paul Crowley, marketing manager of Winterhalter. “It’s idle at weekends and during holidays, too. All that capital is tied up. With Pay-Per-Wash, you only pay when you’re actually washing dishes. You’ve not got a chunk of your budget invested in a machine that’s inactive.”
So what are you going to do with all that money that’s suddenly freed up? Maybe hire an extra member of staff!
