Falcon shows off latest Lainox combi steamer
Stand M25, The LACA Main Event, 11th-13th July 2018, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole
Combi steamers are increasingly a ‘must have’ in school kitchens. Their ease of use, speed and flexibility are well suited to the menu variety and short meal service time frame of most schools. Lainox’s new Naboo, reloaded for 2018, takes the flexibility and ease of use of combi technology to a new level. The Lainox range is distributed in the UK by Falcon, who will have the new model on stand M25 at The LACA Main Event.
The new Naboo’s 10” colour display control panel has been reconfigured to make it easier for chefs to find the basic mode they want. Convection, steaming and combination can now be found on the control panel’s home page, so chefs can just tap the screen and go. The panel features drag and drop tablet-style functionality and users can configure the home page, for example to give easy access to frequently used recipes for quick-start, one-touch cooking. It all goes to make the Naboo one of the most user-friendly combi steamers for school caterers to work with.
Software updates include a production-maximising upgrade to the Naboo’s Just-in-Time (JiT) cooking process. It makes the combi steamer even more flexible, by helping staff cook more different types of food simultaneously – so they can always cook with a full load, even if they are preparing multiple different recipes.
With the connected kitchen being an increasing focus for many operators, the Naboo gives users internet access to the Lainox Cloud to manage an oven’s operation and recipes. Changes can be made on a central computer and then synchronised to an oven, or multiple ovens, simultaneously.
Falcon’s school catering specialists will be on stand throughout The Main Event to talk about the new Naboo’s features and benefits.
