Hotelympia news: Allergen Awareness Seminar for exhibitors

CESA arranges pre-show seminar to ensure food demonstrators know latest advice

CESA will host an Allergen Awareness Seminar in the build-up to Hotelympia. Aimed at companies who are offering food demonstrations during the show, the seminar is open to all exhibitors.

The seminar will be run by Julian Edwards, director of foodservice consultancy GY5, who specialises in allergen awareness and compliance for food and drink businesses.  It will bring attendees up to speed with the latest advice on allergen safety.  After the event Edwards will be available to answer questions.

The Hotelympia Allergen Awareness Seminar takes place at CESA’s offices on Monday 12th February, from 9.30am to 4pm, priced at £195pp (+VAT).  Anyone interested in attending, or finding out more about CESA’s allergen training programme, should contact CESA directly.  Contact information can be found at cesa.org.uk.

The Allergen Awareness Seminar is part of an ongoing allergen training strand being developed by CESA.  “Knowledge of the issue is increasingly important for anyone involved in selling equipment,” says Glenn Roberts, chair of CESA.  “At the same time, a considerable number of CESA members are developing and supplying products designed to help operators deal with allergen safety by preventing cross contamination.  The training will be aimed at both suppliers and operators.”

CESA is a key supporter of Allergen Accreditation’s allergen aware month, during January 2018.  The Association’s allergen training has been developed in conjunction with the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

CESA is exhibiting on stand 1240 at Hotelympia, ExCel London, 5-8 March 2018.
