Norfolk manufacturer committed to continual improvement of internationally regarded business
As the culmination to its 2016 investment, Williams saw the delivery and installation of two major items of plant and equipment to underpin the company’s policy of innovation and continuous improvement; and underscoring its ongoing commitment to quality, reliability and energy efficiency focus. The company, based in King’s Lynn, has established a worldwide reputation for the quality and reliability of its award-winning products.
The latest in metal processing technology from Salvagnini has been installed at Williams’ Kings Lynn site, a new generation of automated sheet metal panel bender offering the very best in lean manufacturing; automation and overall production flexibility.
This new investment has been quickly integrated into the existing Williams manufacturing facilities, bringing with it a raft of high performance features to uphold the exacting quality standards the company is known for.
To compliment the panel former, further major investment has been completed in upgrading the foaming plant used at Williams to automatically inject Polyurethane insulation into the appliance cabinets and doors.
“We have invested over £ 1.5M in these two new machines, and have a continued investment plan to further support our commitment to constantly improving our products and the lean manufacturing systems that we operate in our factories at Kings Lynn and across the world,” says Tim Smith, the company’s managing director. “We have a strong focus on environmental issues, and the recent introduction of energy labelling regulations for professional refrigeration equipment demonstrates the importance of investing in these areas of the business.”
