Evan Davis from Newsnight and Dragon’s Den will be returning to facilitate the conference, which is organised in association with the FCSI UK&I, Cedabond and ENSE.

With a focus on the importance of teamwork and collaboration, the program includes a presentation and discussion of specially commissioned research relating to issues concerning specification. There will also be an important debate discussing the unfolding consequences of the EU referendum and the potential outcomes of the UK leaving the European Union.

Other presentations include BIM and its effect on the digital economy, as well as a preview of the new website CESA is launching. This is designed to actively help members promote their business to distributors, dealers and end-users.

The day will be capped by a keynote address from former England rugby captain Matt Dawson, who will be using his experience both on and off the pitch to consider the nature of leadership, teambuilding and performance culture.

“The conference reflects the need of the whole industry to work together in the post-referendum climate,” says Simon Frost, chair of CESA. “The topics under discussion this year affect everyone, and the kind of connections the conference makes happen can create real change.”

As with previous conferences there will be plenty of networking opportunities with leading foodservice operators, consultants, manufacturers and distributors. Delegates can choose to play a round of golf at the Arden Championship Course on the 17th November, or take part in an activity day for the non-golfers. An informal fundraising dinner will take place on the evening of the 17th, with the annual black tie gala dinner and awards ceremony taking place on the evening of the 18th, after the conference.
