Black tie events can be pretty hard work. Not so the Catering Insight awards. No doubt the proximity to Christmas helped things along, as did the quality of the freely-flowing booze, but this was a well-executed affair and it was fun. The venue was good, the food was good and they rattled through the award ceremony at a fast trot, so everyone could get on with the important business of networking/chatting/gossiping. PLUS a big shout out to the photographer. Long green Mohican, hipster beard, bondage style cross-shoulder holsters for his cameras. If anyone deserved to be photographed, it was him.
