FEM’s new San Jamar Saf-T-Ice Scoop Caddy and Saf-T-Scoops
Ice is classified as a food, so it is vital that operators follow stringent hygiene procedures when scooping and serving it. One vital component is the scoop.
FEM has launched its new San Jamar Saf-T-Ice Scoop Caddy which provides dedicated and sanitary storage for ice scoops. The Caddy keeps the ice scoop safe from harmful bacteria, dirt and cross contamination, whilst ensuring it is close to hand when required.
The Caddy’s new design allows it to be more universal, able to accommodate ice scoops up to 2.5Kg. It also reduces the risk of the scoop being left in the machine and keeps it close to hand, ready for when it is required. The self-closing hinged lid keeps the scoop and the Caddy interior clean and clear.
The Saf-T-Ice Scoop Caddy is extremely easy to install and comes with brackets, screws and self-adhesive tape. It can be mounted on the side of the machine or, for example, on a neighbouring wall. It can be simply removed from the mount for dishwashing.
The Caddy is made from durable plastic and is designed with a crowned bottom to keep the ice scoop dry.
Although it can be used with a range of scoops, the Saf-T-Ice Scoop Caddy works best when partnered with the SI5000, SI7000 and SI9000 Saf-T-Scoops, also available from FEM. The scoops feature two germ-guards which protect the ice from contact with hands while scooping and serving.
These durable polycarbonate scoops feature a domed scoop design which allows for faster and more accurate serving – saving time and reducing spill hazards and ice waste. The ergonomically angled handle provides increased balance and comfort for the operator.
The San Jamar Saf-T-Ice Scoop Caddy (SI2000) measures 231mm (w) x 204mm (d) x 287mm (h) and costs £36.00 +VAT.
