Williams’ ‘Cool Riders’ contest Springboard Paris Challenge

Cycling team represents foodservice manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and operators

Springboard Team Velo Challenge 2015 London to Paris Cycle 17th – 19th Sept

The Williams Cool Riders, l-r, Julian Shine, Stuart Timms, Malcolm Harling and Mark Froydenlund.Williams Refrigeration’s team for the Springboard London to Paris Cycle Challenge has been carefully selected.  Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director of Williams, says the team, which is called the Cool Riders, is an elite group, recruited from the very best pedal pushers across the whole of the foodservice industry.  “Or, to put it another way, we’re a mixed bag,” he adds.

Malcolm himself represents the catering equipment manufacturing sector; for the kitchen contracting houses there’s Julian Shine, managing director of Shine Food Machinery; Stuart Timms, project director at Tricon, is in the saddle for foodservice consultants; and Mark Froydenlund, head chef at Marcus, is holding the torch for operators.

“We’re all really looking forward to the challenge,” says Malcolm.  “Springboard does great work.  This is an event that brings the whole industry together – suppliers and operators – to celebrate Springboard’s achievements, as well as raising funds for the charity’s projects, which is the important thing of course.

“Having said that, I’m sure every team in the race, like us, would love to win!”
