Back bar refrigeration – Williams has it sorted

Bottle coolers, bottle wells, wine towers and small fridges

Williams back bar Bottle WellBottle coolers tend to be the main element of back bar refrigeration, but some places with high volume bottle sales find bottle wells a more convenient or supplementary option. A small fridge is also useful for keeping cocktail garnishes fresh and for keeping milk cool in venues offering hot beverage options. And, for those serving fine wines, there are specialist display units that enable customers to see the selection available while keeping wine in its optimum condition.

The Williams BC range of bottle coolers has been designed to look stylish and display premium bottled drinks to eye-catching effect while being robust enough to survive a punishing level of wear and tear. They are available as single- or double-door counters, manufactured in stainless steel or hardwearing black PVC-coated steel.  Glass doors and effective lighting ensure an attractive display, while adjustable shelves enable different sized bottles and cans to be stored efficiently.  Variable thermostats allow the operators to set the optimum temperature, between 4 and 10ºC, to suit the environment, customer preference and any specific requirements of the beverage.

The bottle coolers can be free standing, fitted under a back bar worktop or on shelving to give the impression of double stacking.  The double-door BC2, which measures 900mm wide by 530mm deep and 903mm high, has a capacity of 182 x 330ml bottles.

Williams’ top-loading bottle wells are designed for easy cleaning and quick drainage with a removable and easy to access drip tray. The lid is also removable, making restocking and cleaning quick and easy. Nylon coated wire dividers rationalise mixed storage. To speed up service there is a built-in bottle opener and catcher. The BW900 can house 261 x 330ml bottles.

For storing and displaying wines, the Williams Wine Tower combines the correct balance and control of temperature, humidity, light and display, with sleek, stylish and sophisticated presentation. Its air circulation keeps wine in its optimum condition, at temperatures from 5 to 16°C.

The Wine Tower is available in a range of options and configurations, including a rotary version. With an array of stainless steel and metal finishes and colours, such as bronze, copper, champagne gold and black, it can be tailored to a bar’s individual ambience. Its full length glass sides can be opaque, tinted or illuminated, while low energy, adjustable LED lighting provides a bright, clear display.

An ideal robust, undercounter fridge that maximises the space available back bar is the Williams Amber A135. It has a storage capacity of 133 litres and features two adjustable nylon coated shelves.
