Precision sales leap over 70%

Refrigeration manufacturer enjoys success in UK and down under

British commercial refrigeration manufacturer Precision, based iNick Williams 2014n Thetford, Norfolk, has seen sales leap by a massive 72% in July 2014, compared to the same period last year.

“We’ve continued to grow steadily over the past few years, but this recent ramping up is exceptional,” says Nick Williams, managing director.  “Year-on-year sales are growing significantly, too, by well over 40%.  Obviously the improving economy is a prime factor, but we’re also building on a growing reputation for quality, competitive pricing and a commitment to working with our distributors and customers.”

The growth means that Precision has employed more staff and is running a night shift to ensure the company meets its delivery dates.

The figures are even more impressive given that, unlike many catering equipment manufacturers, Precision has not been affected by the universal free school meals initiative, since it does not target the primary education sector.

Precision launched its updated range at Hotelympia in May.  Features such as the oversize control panel enhance the models’ looks, while advanced technologies, including a new smart controller, enhance their performance and energy efficiency.

“The 2014 models are certainly creating a lot of interest, which we expect to lead to more sales growth in the coming months,” says Nick.

Meanwhile Precision has tied up a deal with its Australian distributor, CyberChill.  As a result, Precision now owns 50% of the company.  “Australia is our second biggest market outside the UK and CyberChill is our biggest export customer,” says Nick.  “This deal cements our relationship and will make it easier for us to grow the business in the future.”
