Williams cools the Grab & Go Sector with sustainable refrigeration at Hospitality 2013
Stand 258, Hospitality 2013, NEC Birmingham, January 21-23
Williams Refrigeration will focus on its rapidly expanding range for the Grab & Go sector at Hospitality 2013, with a selection of front of house merchandisers and display equipment as well as back of house storage units. Williams has evaluated every component during development of the new range, incorporating the latest energy saving features.
Merchandisers on the Williams Stand include the Gem SC1200 Sandwich Chiller open-fronted display unit, which features a clever air curtain design developed under Williams’ Greenlogic initiative. Conventional open-fronted display equipment loses much of its cold air to the environment, thereby wasting energy. The Williams air curtain ensures that most of the air is recycled, thus saving energy whilst protecting the food and allowing customers easy access.
The latest Gem RS100 Multideck merchandiser features new energy-saving, sliding front doors, allowing easy access while maintaining uniform temperature. They keep produce fresh and in clear view, while cutting energy consumption by up to 50% over traditional multidecks.
Back of house refrigeration also features on the Williams stand, with two models from the Jade range. The HJC2 is officially the UK’s most energy-efficient refrigerated counter, having been independently tested and verified as Best in Class on the ECA’s Energy Technology List. Meanwhile the Jade HJ1 is one of the UK’s most popular upright cabinets and features Williams’ energy-saving CoolSmart controller.
“Grab & Go is no longer just about the high street take away sector,” says Martin Laws, marketing manager at Williams. “We are supplying schools, hospitals, bakeries, and restaurants with our merchandisers. Many of these customers base buying decisions on sustainability. By reengineering the market’s classic designs with more energy efficient features we have been able to supply the sustainable, practical solutions that the sector is demanding.”
Williams Jade fridges (HJ1) and freezers (LJ1) have also been specified for chefs to use at the Salon Culinaire at Hospitality 2013.
