Call Systems Technology’s new WaiterCall: smaller transmitter, bigger range
Restaurants are always looking for ways to improve customer satisfaction, encourage higher spending and increase return visits without letting their operational costs spiral out of control. Call System Technology’s WaiterCall™ system helps restaurants increase their profitability by speeding up and improving their service, thus enhancing customers’ experience, while also containing staffing costs.
WaiterCall consists of a multi-buttoned transmitter sited in the kitchen and matched pagers carried by front of house staff. The latest WaiterCall system from CST has a new transmitter, making the system more compact than before, while extending the range.
The system is unobtrusive and easy to use, wirelessly connecting front of house with the kitchen to ensure seamless, efficient service. Once a table’s meals are plated up and ready to go, kitchen staff press a button on the transmitter sending a vibrating alert to the corresponding pager carried by a waiter. This indicates that the order is complete and can be collected and taken to the table. The system also automatically pages the waiter up to three times to ensure the food is collected while hot.
In this way food is served in tip-top condition. Waiting staff only return to the pass when they need to, giving them more time on the floor to take extra orders, clear tables and check that customers are receiving the service they expect.
The WaiterCall transmitter enables managers to send messages quickly to all servers with just one button and a manager button instantly calls the manager when additional assistance or guidance is needed. The transmitter is made from aluminium for durability and ease of cleaning.
WaiterCall pagers are extremely reliable and able to withstand use in harsh restaurant environments. A range of pagers and transmitters are available and the pagers can be clipped to a waistband or belt. They are supplied with UHF technology for maximum range and smart charging can charge pager batteries in just two hours. Batteries have a life of three to five years and are user-replaceable for economy. A unique system ID prevents interference from paging systems in neighbouring sites.
