Market leader launches ‘new standard’ in after sales care for commercial microwave ovens
Samsung has launched an after sales service commitment on its commercial microwave ovens that it believes sets new standards in the hospitality market.
The Samsung Service Promise is delivered by a nationwide network of trained engineers operating from vans carrying a stock of key spare parts. The commitment is applicable throughout the Samsung commercial microwave ovens’ warranty period of three years. It offers:
- A 92% first time fix rate
- The unit will be up and running within no more than 24 hours of the call out (and usually much less)
- If the unit cannot be repaired, for example due to spare parts availability, then it will be replaced by a brand new commercial microwave oven, free of charge (at any time during the three year warranty)
Samsung is the biggest supplier of commercial microwave ovens to foodservice industry, with a market share of more than 25%. “Our aim is to offer not only the market’s best-value branded microwave oven, but the best after sales service, too,” says David Watts, general manager of Samsung Professional Appliances, the division that looks after commercial microwaves in the UK and Europe.
