Grab & Go Chiller

Williams’ Gem Sandwich Display: a cool idea to keep snacks fresh

The Sandwich Chiller is a new addition to the Williams Gem range of front-of-house refrigerated display equipment.  The Gem’s open design gives customers ‘grab and go’ access to drinks, snacks, sandwiches and plated cold foods, while its forced-air refrigeration system keeps products at a constant temperature.

Visually striking, the unit has a highly polished stainless steel exterior and a foodsafe, stainless steel interior. The Sandwich Chiller’s clever ventilation system works from beneath the cabinet.  This means that there is no front, rear or side grill, so the unit’s lines are attractively smooth, yet it can be sited against the wall and fitted flush between other display units.

The glass shelves and surrounds ensure all-round visibility, while bright white LED lighting delivers extra eye-appeal.

“The Gem Sandwich Chiller maximises every inch of retail space,” says Williams marketing manager Martin Laws, “even down to the lighting: the energy saving LEDs take less space than a conventional fluorescent strip, so there’s more room for product.”

The GEM has an enhanced, thermostatically controlled forced-air refrigeration system.  This reduces pull down times and guarantees even temperature control between 2 and 5°C, ensuring products are kept fresh.

The GEM features an easy-to-use controller, with digital temperature display, and is available in three widths: 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm.  Shelving is fully adjustable and the unit is supplied on castors for easy positioning.
