Lobster-flavoured ice cream – what next?

Lobster ice cream from Ben and Bill
Lobster ice cream from Ben and Bill

Apparently Arron Liu’s Ice Cream Gallery was a crowd favourite at this year’s edition of the Hong Kong Food Expo. Visitors were keen to try their outlandish flavours including ginger vinegar and egg ice cream, French bacon and egg ice cream and wine ice cream.

But another manufacturer has come up with something that has really sent our taste buds into spasm – lobster-flavoured ice cream. Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium  buy cooked lobster meat from a local lobster pound, chop it up, butter it, and fold it into the ice cream to produce their much sought after concoction.

But where will it end? Perhaps one of our more avant garde Norfolk ice cream dairies will try a daring new line flavoured with local Cromer crabs!
