Call Systems Technology, Stand B6 at Healthcare Estates 2011: Lone Worker Protection, Outpatient Pagers and Headset Communication Systems

Healthcare Estates 2011, 1-2 November, Manchester Central.

Call Systems Technology (CST) is exhibiting its latest range of communication devices on Stand B6 at Healthcare Estates 2011. These include multifunctional DECT handsets with lone worker safety features, the newest anti-bacterial and anti-viral MediCall™ patient pager treated with TouchClean®, and QDigital wireless headsets for efficient communication between medical staff in scanning departments and operating theatres.

Complete communications and personal alarm in one device

Providing paging, phone and alarm functions in one device with lone worker protection, CST will demonstrate what it believes is the ultimate all-in-one communications device for healthcare users – a DECT handset that does it all.  The C-3000 handset combines text, graphical and voice messaging in one unit and has a variety of personal alarm functions. It also handles automatic alerts from fire and site alarm systems enabling faster, more accurate communications between staff members and providing greater security for personnel.

Anti-bacterial patient pagers (for queue busting)

CST’s MediCall patient pagers with cross-contamination protection allow outpatients, and their companions, to choose where to wait for their appointment secure in the knowledge that they will be notified in time to return to the department. The latest MediCall pagers are delivered pre-treated with TouchClean, which successfully eliminates MRSA, C Difficile, E Coli, SARS, Listeria and other bacteria and viruses. It also treats fungi, odours, smoke and other pollutants keeping the pagers fresh at all times.

Higher throughput for scanning suites

CST will demonstrate an integrated communications package for hospital MRI scanning rooms and operating theatres, which uses Quail Digital hands-free headsets. The package allows scanning suite team members to communicate effectively and discreetly, with excellent communications quality, so they can operate at maximum throughput while maintaining patients’ comfort. A lead RN said “the control room has never been so quiet before, it is far more professional”. The lightweight DECT headsets are robust, easy to wear and simple to use without wires or belt packs.
