Hospitality Communications Upgrade

New DECT handset from CST integrates all communications and alarms into one device, delivering crystal clear messages by voice and text, enhancing customer service and business efficiency.

In hospitality, better communications mean better business: they can enhance service and efficiency in virtually every area, from the dining room to housekeeping, conferences to kitchen to leisure.  Now Call Systems Technology (CST) has launched the C-3105, a new DECT phone handset that’s designed specifically for the hospitality sector.  It not only delivers the message more clearly – via high quality audio and its large colour screen – but also allows organisations to integrate all their communications into one device.

In many sites, staff members have to carry two, three or more communications devices, such as pagers, radios and phones, to keep aware of alarms and messages.  The C-3105’s critical messaging server (CMS) handles all communications, routing everything through the one handset: voice, alarms and SMS texts.  Whether it’s a call from reception or a fire safety alert from an automated alarm, the C-3105 makes sure that recipients get the message instantly.

A big problem for communications in hospitality is that voices can be drowned out in busy environments.  The new handset’s high quality audio system means that conversations can be heard more easily, even against a noisy background, while the built-in vibration feature means users can always tell when they are wanted, even if they can’t hear the ring.

With its visual alarms, the C-3105’s ultra-clear colour screen makes reading the message simpler.  The system offers colour-coded graphics that staff can recognise instantly, so they can swiftly deal with any crisis.  Alarms from specific areas or departments can be colour-coded – for example, the bar area code could be green, the kitchen red, a leisure centre alarm yellow, security blue and so on.

CST’s new handset is designed for the rough and tumble of busy hospitality situations.  The rubberised exterior protects it from drops and makes grip easier, while the IP65 rating is proof against common hazards like water and dirt.  The extended lifetime batteries give extra-long talk time between charges.

For busy staff there are two hands-free options: the C-3105 has both a built-in headset jack and a bluetooth function.  Other useful features include an extra function key, mounted on the side, which can be used to dial a pre-programmed number.
