Barbeque special: Classeq’s ICEF155 supplies a constant supply of flake ice for displays and drinks
There’s more to a barbeque than slapping a few burgers on a grill. Upmarket barbeque operations often display the raw items, such as fish or burgers, on a bed of flaked ice to tempt customers. Flaked ice can also be used to enhance the appearance of a salad bar as well as keeping the produce crispy and fresh.
Classeq’s Ice-O-Matic flake ice machine, the ICEF155, produces 70kg of ice per 24 hours, has a rugged one-piece, stainless-steel construction and a 25 kg capacity, built-in storage bin. Using one-third less water and electricity than traditional cube ice machines, it enables a site to refresh displays regularly to keep products in tip top condition.
Flake ice maintains food hydration and is soft but slow melting. This also makes it ideal for presenting delicate summer fruit displays for desserts. It can be used to fill ice buckets and is a perfect mixer for long slushy drinks.
At only 535mm wide and 796 high, the ICEF155 is ideal for sites with tight space restrictions. The front- venting air intake and exhaust further cut down on the machine’s space requirements. All Ice-O-Matic ice makers feature Agion internal antimicrobial coatings to improve hygiene and prevent the build-up of harmful bacteria. Access to key parts for routine maintenance and cleaning is simple and easy.
For particularly busy sites Classeq can supply the MFI0805 with 343kg per 24 hour production capacity and the MFI1255 with 506kg per 24 hour production capacity. Both of these larger machines require separate storage bins.
Classeq cover the Ice-O-Matic flaker with a full two-year parts and labour warranty.
