Pearl ice takes less energy to make than regular ice, so the GEM0655 is cheaper to run than comparative cube machines. Pearl ice makers are fitted with Ice-O-Matic’s SystemSafe which continuously checks the workload on the gearbox, automatically shutting down the system before an overload occurs. A further safety feature is their water sensor that eliminates low or no water failures when there is a problem with the mains supply.
