Winterhalter has introduced a double-rack system for its UC series of dishwashers. By using the twin racks the washing capacity is doubled, effectively halving both running costs and the overall wash time.
The new double 500 x 500mm rack consists of a rack holder and two individually removable slide-in racks. The bottom rack has an angled base for good drainage and is designed for up to 24 cups, while the top rack offers space for 16 small plates. Both racks are made from wire frames with a tough plastic coating that protects the crockery from damage.
The UC Series machines are fitted with Winterhalter’s new VarioPower washing system. This uses elliptical wash arms and variable water pressure to ensure that the water jets spray directly onto all the dishes in both racks, giving a perfect wash throughout.
The UC series is very easy to operate and look after. The machines have a single start button, which changes colour to indicate the progress of the wash cycle, and a touchscreen with simple, clear symbols and animations. Self-cleaning and decalcification programs cut down routine maintainence, while the error management system uses the touchscreen to warn operators if anything goes wrong.
To save energy and resources each wash program has an optional ‘Eco’ mode that can save up to 11% in running costs.
Winterhalter provides a total solution for warewashing, from pre-sales advice to after-sales service, training and maintenance. Alongside its market-leading dish and glasswashers, the company’s range includes utensil washers, advanced water treatment machines, cleaning chemicals and detergents.
