‘Kong’ Watson v Alex Reid – Is It A Contest?

CNP supplements give Tom Watson the power to succeed

Tom WatsonTom ‘Kong’ Watson is looking forward to his much heralded fight with Alex Reid on May 15, 2010. While recently he reportedly called Reid ‘a clown’, Watson is not taking his opponent lightly and is training hard to win.

“There is a lot of pressure on me for this fight,” he explains. “Although Alex has lost his last few fights and I have won mine, he is tough and he has a big media circus behind him. I know I have to be really prepared both mentally and physically.”

Watson knows that stamina and strength are the key to winning. Alongside his daily training sessions he uses CNP Professional supplements to make sure his body is getting the essential nutrients it needs to build lean muscle, explosive power and the mental capacity to go the distance.

CNP, a leading sports supplement supplier, produces superior quality protein supplements. Its premier proteins are made using a low-temperature processing method that preserves their integrity so that they are more easily absorbed into the body than other manufacturers’ products.

Watson started using CNP supplements during his amateur boxing career and finds they are essential to succeed in the MMA arena.

“The sheer ferocity and pace of MMA requires fighters to be super fit and super alert,” says CNP’s founder, Kerry Kayes. “The right nutrition is vital.”

As part of his regular regime Watson uses ProSlam, a protein drink with beta alanine that delays the onset of muscle fatigue, ProPeptide, an advanced protein supplement, ProVital a multi-vitamin and mineral supplement and ProRecover to aid recovery after training bouts and to prevent injury.

“The quality of CNP products is far superior to other ones I have tried,” he says. “They give me exactly what I need and when I need it. The shakes are really tasty and convenient. The Pro Slams are my favourites. I have one before and after each training session and recommend them to all my training partners.”

Watson looks in good shape for this fight. He trains six days a week on striking, wrestling, grappling, strength and conditioning. He aims to fight at about 185lbs and finds ProPeptide especially good to boost his protein intake during the pre-fight period, to build-up muscle without gaining weight. He is aiming to get his energy levels up to a maximum to make sure he can outlast his opponent.

“Cardio is going to play a big role in this fight. I always like to push the pace and put pressure on my opponent and this is what I intend to do with Alex Reid,” explains Watson. “I have broken past opponents with my stamina and work rate. I need to keep going right up to the final bell. I know using CNP supplements alongside my training programme helps me get there.”
