It would be nice to think that Gordon Brown comparing the economy to Wayne Rooney’s foot is as pathetic as the electioneering is going to get in the run-up to May. But we all know someone will stoop lower. And sooner rather than later. Like a post-match footballer’s foot, they all stink.
