CESA Carbon Management podcasts shortlisted for Innovation Awards
Malcolm Harling, Chairman of The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA), will be presenting graduates of the CFSP, a new specialist foodservice qualification, with their certificates and badges at 4.40pm on Monday 1st March on la Parade des Chefs at Hotelympia 2010.
The CFSP (Certified Foodservice Professional) is designed to give foodservice managers a better understanding of their industry. Covering every area of food production, including food safety, distribution, kitchen design, new technology and sustainability, the CFSP is already becoming a universally accepted and respected standard for knowledge and experience.
Innovation Award
CESA is delighted to be on the shortlist for the Hotelympia Innovation Awards with its series of Carbon Management podcasts. These short podcasts have been produced in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University as part of the organisation’s Save It! campaign.
Each podcast is only about two and a half to three minutes long and covers a different area of catering operations: service and maintenance, prime cooking, warewashing and refrigeration. They outline key factors involved in conserving energy in the workplace, including efficient settings and good practice in the commercial kitchen.
Visitors to the show can get more details of the CFSP qualification on the CESA stand, N1660.
The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) represents over 130 companies who supply, service and maintain all types of commercial catering equipment – from utensils to full kitchen schemes. For more information on CESA visit www.cesa.org.uk
