Making toast for all
Hotels, conferencing facilities, universities, colleges and boarding schools are among the many places that serve breakfasts to large numbers and so need to keep a constant supply of freshly toasted bread on the serving counter. Now Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) has launched the Fortius conveyor toaster, which has a throughput of 300 slices per hour to cope with the hectic breakfast rush.
Measuring only 368 x 418 x 387mm, and with a smart and durable stainless steel finish, the FT1 toaster is safe to site on a counter top or in a self-serve area so guests can load their bread slices as they need them. Two slices can be fed through side by side and the FT1 can be set up so that the toast can be collected from the front or rear of the unit.
A simple four-position dial control selects the amount of browning while a removable tray prevents a build up of crumbs. Power consumption is 2.4kW and FEM supplies the Fortius toaster with a full one year parts and labour warranty. With a list price of only £630 (ex VAT), the Fortius toaster offers a reliable and cost effective solution for anywhere offering large-scale breakfast catering.
