Tim Morgan, founder and chief teaboy of The Publicity Works, took to the waves today in an attempt to swim 2500 metres for Swimathon 09.
"All these celebrities eating bugs, swimming the Channel and suchlike are such an inspiration to all us plebs," he said.
"I wanted to do my bit. Actually, swimming in a pool may sound easier than in the Channel, but it’s really not. The water was ever so choppy and I only got to rest every 25 metres.
“Plus, I couldn’t find enough goose fat to rub on to keep me warm so I had to keep nipping out for a latte in the café."
Tim was raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who dipped into their pockets. Particularly his loyal staff!
The main picture shows him after the event (the Zimmer frame and paramedics have been photo-shopped out).
Go Tim, Go!!
