E & R Moffat has re-engineered its range of Versigen mobile bulk food service trolleys. The new trolleys are lighter and more manoeuvrable than before and feature new zonal heating in the oven cabinet to improve food quality.
The Versigen bulk food trolley can regenerate, keep food hot, refrigerate, hold ice cream and warm plates – all in one unit. This makes them particularly attractive in healthcare homes and hospitals where plated food needs to be transported from kitchens to dining areas or wards and then served.
The new range of finishes is designed to suit any décor or branding and Moffat offers a wide choice of bright colours and cartoon decals especially suitable for children’s wards.
The Versigen trolleys have separate sections to hold hot and cold food and also have a heat-toughened glass or stainless steel hot-top service area, making them a complete storage, heating and serving point.
The trolleys also have a highly competitive list price as well as low maintenance and running costs.
A new multi-fan technology provides zonal temperature control which enables the unit to regenerate different density foods in the same oven at the same time. For example meats, mashed potato, poached fish and meringue can all be regenerated simultaneously and still retain their quality. The ovens also have 55% faster heat-up times with the new fans.
When the trolleys are fitted with Chillogen they can hold chilled food until required, then at a preset time, the unit converts to an oven and regenerates the food to the recommended temperature.
The controls are designed for simplicity of operation and an isolator switch ensures safety when they are not in use.
The Versigen bulk food trolleys can be tailored to each site’s requirements – alongside the Chillogen or regen only model, options include ‘3D’ data logging, automatic 7 day timer and additional gastronorm size SS grid shelves with anti-tilt stops, as well as various companion trolleys and plate warmers.
