Manitowoc‘s high-volume QuietQube ice machines use an exclusive technology that allows the compressor and condenser fan motor to be sited away from the ice machine itself. This makes the QuietQube machines super quiet, extremely reliable, efficient and with high levels of ice production. They are especially suitable for noise-sensitive, front of house applications.
For sites that need a lot of ice Manitowoc has launched the new S-2170C, capable of producing a staggering 864kg of ice cubes in 24 hours.
The S-2170C uses Manitowoc’s patented CVD (cool vapour defrost) technology in which cool vapour refrigerant from a receiver tank, rather than hot gas from the compressor, is used to the harvest ice. In this way both the compressor and condenser can be sited away from the machine, thus eliminating the associated heat and noise from the customer environment.
The QuietQube Series Remote systems consist of a remote condensing unit, interconnecting refrigerant lines and ice machine head section, along with an ice storage bin, countertop dispenser or floor dispenser. All components are ordered separately so that customers can build up an ice production system tailored to their exact requirements.
For such a high production machine the S-2170C is very compact, measuring only 76.2cm wide and 74.9cm high and to further save space and give flexibility the water and power connections can be at the back or top of the machine. In common with all Manitowoc machines the S-2170C has a smart stainless-steel finish suitable for front of house operation.
And for those really big jobs two S-2170C ice machines can be placed side by side on a 154.2cm wide B-style large capacity bin raising 24 hour ice production to 1728kg. Manitowoc is America’s leading ice machine manufacturer, in the forefront of technical innovations in energy efficiency, hygiene and ease of service.
Manitowoc ice machines are distributed in the UK by Classeq. The comprehensive range includes the EC Series of spray-production machines, which make premium quality octagonal cubes; the S Series of modular machines with separate storage bins for high volume production; the Q Series of compact and under-counter machines with integral bins, and specialist products such as ice flaker machines. Accessories include modular storage bins; ice dispensers; a range of dedicated water filters; and Manitowoc’s patented AuCS automatic cleaning system.
